Upak Italia – which Centrexpo has been organising in Moscow since 1984 – from the 1997 edition has joined UPAKOVKA - the exhibition rich in tradition organised by Messe Düsseldorf.
In this way the biggest trade fair devoted to packing and packaging was born in Russia, which has been able to offer the best of the world production and therefore to become an unmissable reference point.
Some 21,000 trade visitors from throughout the CIS and the neighbouring countries visited
the Krasnaya Presnya Expocenter over the four days of the fair, which was held in parallel to
INTERPLASTICA 2010, the international trade fair for the plastics and rubber industry, from 26 through 29 January 2009.
A sum total of around 800 exhibitors, who had rented approximately 15,000 square metres of exhibition space, were very pleased with the interest shown by the visitors. Those showed increased interest in specific projects and investments, far exceeding expectations.
The exhibition featured official national presentations from Germany, France and Italy.
The Italian National Group was co-ordinated by ICE (the Italian Trade Commission), in collaboration with ACIMGA (Italian Manufacturers Association of Machinery for the Graphic, Converting and Paper Industry) and UCIMA (Italian Association of Automatic Packing and Packaging Machinery).
At UPAKOVKA/UPAKITALIA 80 Italian companies among the most prestigious of the national industry were present, occupying an exhibition area of more then 1,500 net sqm.
UPAKOVKA/UPAK ITALIA will return to the ZAO EXPOCENTR in Krasnaya Presnya – Moscow – from 25th to 28th January 2011, once again with INTERPLASTICA, International Exhibition for Plastic and Rubber – organized by Messe Duesseldorf.
